Ragel and Colm are now distributed together, in the Colm Suite. The first suite release, colm-suite-2026.08, is available for download from the Ragel and Colm pages.

Ragel’s front end is written in Colm, and earlier Ragel 7 releases required a separately installed Colm of an exactly matching version. Shipping the two together in one tarball ends that: the suite builds Colm first and then uses it to build Ragel. Either half can still be installed on its own.

The suite release carries Ragel 7.1.0 and Colm 0.15.0. Suite releases are calendar-versioned snapshots, named by year and month; the components in them carry their own version numbers.
